Oktoberfest, held in the German city of Munich, broke its all-time attendance record this year with 7.4 million visitors. The festival, which took place between September 19 and October 4, surpassed the previous record of 7.2 million set in 2023.

Festival management reported that despite the increase in visitor numbers, there were no serious issues with overcrowding at the venue. It was stated that new security measures and efforts to encourage visitors to attend on weekdays yielded positive results.

The increase in attendance was also reflected in the festival economy. It was reported that food sales in the restaurants at the venue rose by 2 to 3 percent, and an increase was also observed in the sales of traditional roast chicken. The "Oide Wiesn," known as the nostalgic section of Oktoberfest, was visited by 447 thousand people.

It was announced that there was an increase in police interventions and crime reports at the festival, with 80 reports of sexual offenses filed. Additionally, it was reported that two people were injured in work-related accidents, and one accident resulted in a fatality.

Among international visitors, the highest participation was recorded from the USA, Italy, and Austria.
