The Houthis in Yemen announced that they targeted the Israeli cities of Tel Aviv and Ashkelon with ballistic missiles. It was also reported that unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were used in the attack.

Houthi Military Spokesperson Yahya Saree made a statement regarding the attacks on the X social media platform.

Saree noted in his statement that the Houthis targeted Ashkelon with UAVs and Tel Aviv with a ballistic missile.

The Israeli military had announced during the night that a ballistic missile fired from Yemen toward Israel was intercepted by air defense systems in the country's skies.

In a written statement from the military, it was stated that 'the missile fired from Yemen was successfully intercepted by the Arrow Air Defense System.'

While the statement did not provide information on which region of the country the missile was intercepted in, it was reported that sirens were activated due to the missile launch.
