Abdul Malik al-Houthi, leader of the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen, made a statement following the attacks, saying that US strikes would not go unanswered.

Speaking to the Houthi-affiliated "Al Masirah" television channel, al-Houthi stated that no US attack against his country would ever go unanswered, and that the response to any future US aggression would be much greater than the operation they carried out on January 9.

Al-Houthi said, "Anyone who wants to interfere with or attack our people is taking a military risk by entering into a conflict for which they will pay the price. Our breath is long, and our people have the strength to endure great and long conflicts."

In this context, accusing the US and the UK of trying to "involve other countries in a conflict with the Yemeni people," al-Houthi called on Asian and European countries "not to follow the US's lead."
