Humanitarian crisis deepens: Israel blocks 3,000 aid trucks

In a written statement from the Media Office of the government in Gaza, it was stated that with Israel continuing to keep the Rafah and Kerem Shalom border crossings closed, famine has re-emerged in Gaza, particularly in the northern regions.

The statement noted that by keeping the two border crossings closed for 13 consecutive days, Israel has prevented 3,000 trucks carrying aid from entering Gaza, and also blocked 690 patients and injured individuals from traveling abroad for treatment.

"GREEN LIGHT FOR THE CRIME OF GENOCIDE"

The statement pointed out that the continued closure of the border crossings has doubled the existing deep humanitarian crisis, stating, "The US administration, the European Union, and the international community have not fulfilled their roles in preventing genocide. On the contrary, they have given the occupation a green light to continue the crime of genocide. Policies of starvation and siege clearly violate the rules of international law and international humanitarian law. We hold the occupying Israel, the US administration, the European Union, and the international community fully responsible for the continuation of the war of genocide."

CALL TO OPEN BORDER CROSSINGS

The statement called on all countries of the free world and international organizations to pressure Israel to stop this massacre, which has been ongoing for eight months, and to fulfill their responsibilities to open the crossings before greater humanitarian disasters occur.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced in a statement yesterday that at least 35,386 Palestinians, including 15,103 children and 9,849 women, have been killed and 79,366 Palestinians have been injured in the attacks Israel has carried out on the Gaza Strip since October 7.
