Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban praised President Tayyip Erdogan for his refugee policy during the "ADFLeadersTalks" panel at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF).

''WE WOULD ALL BE IN TROUBLE''

Orban made the following remarks regarding Turkey's refugee policy: "If it weren't for Turkey, Europe and the European Union (EU) countries would have completely lost their stability by now. In a way, Erdogan saved the European continent. He has been undertaking this task for almost the last eight years. Therefore, if there were no strong leadership in Turkey, we would all be in trouble in Europe, I can say that. Therefore, everyone in Europe is grateful to Turkey, and they should be."

RUSSIA - UKRAINE WAR

Emphasizing that the war in Ukraine is not the Hungarians' war, Orban noted the following: ''I think time is working in Russia's favor, and as time passes, the EU and Ukraine are losing, while Russia is gaining more advantages. Therefore, I say there should be a ceasefire as soon as possible and both sides should start peace negotiations immediately.''

"IF TRUMP WERE US PRESIDENT, THERE WOULD BE NO WAR''

Mentioning his upcoming meeting with former US President Donald Trump and stating that he personally respects Trump, Orban said, "I think if Trump were the US President, there would be no war right now. I am absolutely sure of this. I mean, a strong US President can really stop any kind of war related to Europe."
