In Greece, Mitsotakis makes cabinet pay the price for EP election results
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has reshuffled his cabinet after his party lost votes in the European Parliament elections, appointing Takis Theodorikakos as Minister of Development.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has decided to reshuffle his cabinet following the loss of votes by his ruling New Democracy (ND) party in the European Parliament (EP) elections held on June 9.
A statement from the Prime Minister's office announced that a new Minister of Development has been appointed and changes have been made to the position of Minister of Labor.
Takis Theodorikakos was appointed as Minister of Development, while Niki Kerameus was brought in as the Minister of Labor. Mitsotakis did not make any changes to the position of Minister of Finance, held by Kostis Hatzidakis.
The new cabinet is expected to be sworn in today at 18:00 local time before President Katerina Sakellaropoulou and to convene tomorrow at 10:00.
Mitsotakis's New Democracy party, which has been in power in Greece since 2019, finished as the leading party in the June 9 elections but failed to reach its 33 percent target, remaining at 28.3 percent.
