Following the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, violent incidents broke out around the US Consulate in the city of Karachi, Pakistan. According to initial reports, 6 people lost their lives in the incidents, and many others were injured.
EDHI SERVICE: THERE ARE DEAD AND INJURED
The Edhi rescue service announced that there were dead and injured in the clashes. While some of the injured were treated at the scene, those in critical condition were transferred to nearby hospitals.
POLICE INTERVENTION AND CLASHES
Police took action after protesters attempted to enter the consulate building by throwing stones. Security forces used tear gas and batons to disperse the crowd and regain control. According to initial reports, 5 people were injured in the clashes between the protesters and the police.
