Iran announces 'safe' points: New route for ships in the Strait of Hormuz following ceasefire
The Naval Command of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has published a map showing safe transit routes in the Strait of Hormuz. The statement said, "To ensure navigational safety and avoid potential collisions with naval mines, ships must pass through the Strait of Hormuz by coordinating with the Revolutionary Guard navy and using the routes indicated on the map until further notice."

MAP PUBLISHED FOR SAFE TRANSIT
According to the Nour News Agency, known for its proximity to Iran's Supreme National Security Council, the Naval Command of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has shared a map containing alternative safe transit routes for ships that will use the Strait of Hormuz.
In the statement made by the IRGC Naval Command, it was pointed out that anti-ship mines might be present in the main traffic lane of the strait due to war conditions prior to the ceasefire. The statement included the following: "To ensure navigational safety and avoid potential collisions with naval mines, ships must pass through the Strait of Hormuz by coordinating with the Revolutionary Guard navy and using the routes indicated on the map until further notice."
ENTRY AND EXIT ROUTES ANNOUNCED
The published map also detailed the recommended routes for ships. Accordingly, it was stated that the entry route is the "route continuing from the Sea of Oman to the north, toward Larak Island, and then into the Persian Gulf."
It was stated that the exit route has been determined as the "route passing south of Larak Island and continuing toward the Sea of Oman."
