Iran claims to have neutralized a US warship: 'It was forced to flee'

Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, spokesperson for the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, made a statement regarding the clashes that have been ongoing for nearly two weeks following recent attacks by the US and Israel against the country. In his assessment, Shekarchi made striking claims regarding the US presence and its reliability in the region.

According to reports in the Iranian press, Shekarchi called on countries in the region to be cautious against the Washington administration. Shekarchi stated, "Do not trust America's puppet power. The Americans, who cannot even defend their own weak armies, cannot ensure the security of Muslim countries and the region," and called for unity in the Islamic world. He expressed that "the Islamic world must unite against the blasphemy, polytheism, and sedition led by the US and the Zionists."

Shekarchi claimed that the USS Abraham Lincoln, one of the largest ships in the US Navy, was targeted by Iran. The Iranian official asserted that the ship was forced to retreat, stating, "The Abraham Lincoln, which is the largest US warship and uses its name to terrorize Muslims and plunder their resources, was neutralized by the power of the Muslim country of Iran and was forced to flee the operational range in a historic defeat."
