Iran confirms US attack on nuclear facility

Iran has confirmed that the Fordo Nuclear Facility in Qom province was targeted by an airstrike.

A provincial official in Qom, where Iran's most critical nuclear facility, Fordo, is located, has confirmed that an attack was carried out on the facility.

According to reports from Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency, Deputy Governor of Isfahan Akbar Salehi made a statement regarding the matter.

Stating that air defense systems were activated against enemy targets in Isfahan and Kashan approximately an hour ago, Salehi said, "At the same time, numerous explosions were heard in Natanz and Isfahan. We witnessed attacks near the Isfahan and Natanz nuclear centers."

Salehi announced that detailed information would be released later.

US President Donald Trump had announced that they had carried out airstrikes on three nuclear facilities in Iran: Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan.
