Iran decides not to go to Pakistan

Iran's semi-official Tasnim News Agency reported that Iran has informed the US, through Pakistan, that it will not participate in the meetings to be held tomorrow in Islamabad and that there is currently no concrete sign of participation in the talks.

Unnamed sources stated that Iran's decision not to participate in the talks stems from the US failing to comply with previously given commitments, adding that Iran believes that sitting at the negotiating table under current conditions is a waste of time. The sources reiterated that Iran will not be present in Pakistan tomorrow in order to fully protect the rights of its nation.

US Vice President Vance's visit to Pakistan suspended

In reports citing unnamed senior US officials, the US press stated that the visit to Pakistan by US Vice President James David Vance, who was set to lead the US delegation in the Iran-US talks in Pakistan, has been suspended but not canceled.

Vance was scheduled to travel to Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, in the morning, and the talks between the two countries were planned to resume tomorrow.
