Iran declares 'full-scale economic war': 'We are standing against bullying'
While US economic sanctions against Iran continue, it has been suggested that Trump could restart nuclear negotiations with Iran. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that his country is facing US economic pressure and that negotiations are out of the question.

Speaking at the 46th anniversary celebrations of the revolution in Iran, Pezeshkian stated that his country is under US economic pressure and that the Washington administration is not sincere regarding negotiations. The President emphasized at the ceremony held in Tehran's Azadi Square that the Iranian people have resisted despite the difficulties.
Pezeshkian criticized US President Donald Trump's 'maximum pressure' policy toward Iran, stating that the US thinks Iran will surrender, but that this is a 'naive expectation'.
Drawing attention to the economic difficulties experienced by the Iranian people, Pezeshkian said the following:
''Trump is calling for negotiations on one hand, while imposing harsh sanctions against Iran on the other. This attitude is a sign of insincerity. They say they want to negotiate, but they are trying to block our access to basic necessities such as medicine, food, and water.''
Stating that Iran is facing a full-scale economic war, Pezeshkian also touched upon issues such as domestic hoarding and market manipulation, underlining that they will fight against US sanctions.
Claiming that Iranian scientists are being targeted by the US, Pezeshkian noted the following:
''Some people are trying to damage the public's faith in the revolution and the leadership. However, with the support of the nation and God's help, we will overcome these crises. We are not seeking war. Our enemies fear our unity and are trying to incite conflict. Those who target leaders like Ismail Haniyeh fear our solidarity.''

Pezeshkian also claimed that Iranian scientists are being targeted. The Iranian leader emphasized that the country's progress in science and technology cannot be hindered, sharing the view that the people's resistance strengthens the country.
Criticizing the assassinations of Iranian scientists, Pezeshkian said:
'Enemies do not want to see free and conscious people. They are trying to buy them off or kill them.'
It was observed that Iranians participating in the revolution anniversary celebrations chanted slogans in favor of the country's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the government. Stating that the people taking to the squares disrupted the enemies' plans, Pezeshkian emphasized that 'the Iranian people are standing against bullying and the enemies' conspiracies will fail.'
