Iran's Mehr News Agency also reported that explosion sounds were heard on Iran's Qeshm Island.
On the other hand, a statement made by the spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs included the remarks, "Supreme Leader Khamenei is managing the developments; no steps are taken without his permission."
CAUSED BY AN OPERATION FOR WARNING PURPOSES
Tasnim News Agency, in its statement, included the remarks, "Some of the explosion sounds were caused by an operation conducted by the Revolutionary Guards to warn some ships regarding unauthorized passage through the Strait of Hormuz."
