Iran launches missile attack on Pakistan

Iran announced that it carried out a missile and drone attack on two bases of the group named Jaish al-Adl located in Pakistan.

In the report stating that two headquarters belonging to Jaish al-Adl were targeted, it was stated, "These headquarters were destroyed with missiles and drones. Last night, MOSSAD espionage centers in Northern Iraq and an ISIS headquarters in Syria were also targeted by Iran with missiles."

FIRST STATEMENT FROM PAKISTAN

Pakistan confirmed that Iran carried out an airstrike on its territory.

In a statement made by the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated that Iran violated Pakistani airspace without cause, and it was announced that 2 children lost their lives and 3 children were injured in the airstrike carried out by Iran. In the statement, which strongly condemned the attack in question, it was said, "This violation of Pakistan's sovereignty is completely unacceptable and can have serious consequences."

IRANIAN CHARGE D'AFFAIRES SUMMONED TO PAKISTANI FOREIGN MINISTRY

In the statement, which noted that it is concerning that this illegal act took place despite the existence of various communication channels between Pakistan and Iran, it was said, "Pakistan's strong protest has been conveyed to the relevant senior official at the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran. Furthermore, the Iranian Charge d'Affaires was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and it was conveyed that we condemn this clear violation of Pakistan's sovereignty in the strongest terms and that the responsibility for the consequences will rest directly with Iran."

The statement emphasized that Pakistan has always stated that terrorism is a common threat to all countries in the region and that coordinated action is necessary, adding, "Such unilateral actions are not in accordance with good neighborly relations and can seriously damage bilateral trust and confidence."

The Sistan-Baluchistan province, located in southeastern Iran, has been the scene of attacks in recent years by Jaish al-Adl, which claims to "defend the rights of the Sunni Baluch people in the region" and is considered a "terrorist organization" by Iran. In the most recent attack carried out by the organization named Jaish al-Adl on a police station in the city of Rask in Sistan-Baluchistan province in December 2023, 11 security personnel were killed.
