Iran lifts visa requirements for 28 countries

Iran has announced that it has unilaterally lifted visa requirements for citizens of 28 countries, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Uzbekistan, Tunisia, Tanzania, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Brazil, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belarus, and India, effective February 4, in an effort to boost tourism.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Reza Bigdeli stated that this decision, taken to stimulate and develop tourism, is effective as of February 4. Citizens of the countries in question will be able to travel to Iran visa-free starting from the specified date.
