Iran says 'we destroyed a US UAV', CENTCOM issues statement
Following claims in the Iranian press that a US UAV was intercepted near the city of Bushehr, a statement has come from the US Central Command. CENTCOM reported that no US aircraft had been shot down.

A statement has come from the US regarding claims that air defense systems belonging to the Iranian military intercepted a US unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) near the city of Bushehr.
In a statement issued by the US Central Command (CENTCOM), it was noted that Iran claimed to have shot down a US aircraft, and it was stated, "No US aircraft has been shot down. The location of all US aircraft is accounted for."
Reports published in the Iranian press, citing military sources, had claimed that Iranian air defense elements had intercepted a US UAV near Bushehr.
On the other hand, Masoud Tangestani, the governor of the Jam city in Iran, stated in his explanation regarding the explosion sounds previously heard in the region that the incident was related to the aforementioned intervention.
Tangestani stated, "The incident that occurred tonight was due to the destruction of an enemy aircraft. The situation in the city is currently normal."
