As the conflict between the US and Iran enters its third week, the Tehran administration has denied allegations that they are waving a white flag. Speaking on a popular television program, Foreign Minister Araghchi responded to claims by Trump and his team that "Tehran is surrendering."
"WE NEVER BROUGHT UP A CEASEFIRE"
Araghchi responded harshly to claims made by US President Trump on social media platforms and television screens in recent days, such as "Iran is completely defeated, they are begging for a deal." In his statement, he said, "We never asked for a ceasefire, nor did we even request negotiations. We are ready to defend ourselves no matter how long it takes."
NUCLEAR CONCESSIONS WITHDRAWN
At the beginning of the talks, a significant concession regarding the dilution of uranium had been put on the table during secret contacts between US special envoys and Iran. However, stating that the process has completely ended with the start of the attacks, Araghchi announced that the previous offer is no longer valid, saying, "There is nothing on the table right now." He emphasized the lack of trust in diplomacy with the words, "They decided to attack us while we were talking to them. There is no good side to talking; why should we sit at the table again?"
