Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei made a statement regarding the negotiations between the US and Iran. Speaking to the Iranian press, Baghaei recalled that the US had responded to Iran's 14-point plan with a framework proposal.
Baghaei stated that the Tehran administration continues to examine the US proposal and noted that they have not yet reached a final decision on the matter.
Baghaei said, "The most important foreign policy issue addressed in recent days is the war, the ceasefire, and the efforts to restore peace and stability in the region."
The Iranian spokesperson also emphasized that the recent contacts held with Pakistan focused on Tehran's 14-point plan. Noting that they continue to evaluate the US response, Baghaei said that after the reviews are completed, their response will be conveyed to Washington again through Pakistani mediation.
Furthermore, in response to a question regarding whether Tehran has already provided any answer to Washington, Baghaei replied, "The next step will be decided based on the outcome of these message exchanges. We are still reviewing the proposal. We first need to reach a conclusion. We will certainly inform the public afterward."
