Iranian Ambassador to Islamabad Reza Amiri Moghadam announced that he held a meeting with Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi after the latter concluded his visit to Tehran and returned to his country following his official contacts in Iran.

Moghadam also made assessments regarding the negotiation process between Iran and the US, stating, "The Pakistani Interior Minister and my dear brother Mr. Naqvi congratulated me on the gains achieved in the negotiations conducted with our country's officials following his return from Tehran."

Moghadam used the following expressions: "We can say with cautious optimism that, provided the other side also shows the necessary commitment, positive progress is taking shape.

This development is a result of Iran's honorable stance, the determination of its courageous armed forces, the resistance of the Iranian people, and the initiatives and selfless efforts of Pakistani mediators."

Moghadam also conveyed his gratitude to the Pakistani officials who played an important role in the negotiation process in question. The Iranian official thanked Pakistani political and military authorities, primarily Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir, Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, while noting his hope that the sincere diplomatic efforts shown in this regard would contribute to lasting peace in the region.
