Following the memorandum of understanding signed between the US and Iran, the Iranian delegation has arrived in Switzerland ahead of talks that will address the topics related to a permanent peace agreement.
In a statement issued by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, it was stated, "We welcome the arrival of the Iranian delegation in Switzerland." The statement noted that the delegation has moved on to the town of Bürgenstock, where the negotiations will be held.
Iran's official news agency IRNA also confirmed the development, announcing that the delegation tasked with representing Tehran in the talks with the US has reached Switzerland.
High-level figures to be part of the delegation
The Iranian delegation is expected to be led by Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. It is also stated that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Deputy Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Bagheri, and Governor of the Central Bank of Iran Abdolnaser Hemmati will be part of the delegation.
