Iranian leader criticizes US and Israel over hybrid warfare

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei addressed the public with a written message on the 37th anniversary of the death of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of the Iranian Islamic Revolution.

In his message, Khamenei stated that the US-led "hegemonic order" has resorted to new tactics targeting Iran's internal affairs and addressed the founding purpose and current policies of Israel. Arguing that Israel was established as "a garrison state" approximately eighty years ago, the Iranian leader stated that the country's goal of a "Greater Israel" encompassing the east of the Euphrates poses a threat to Iran's independence and progress. Khamenei pointed out that Israel does not hesitate to use any method to prevent Iran from growing stronger.

Expressing that the US and Israel have recently suffered consecutive defeats and "deep humiliation" on the battlefield, Khamenei stated that these countries have now turned to a multi-dimensional hybrid war instead of military methods. According to Khamenei, this new strategy includes psychological and social practices aimed at creating suspicion, despair, and division among different segments of society.

The Iranian leader said the purpose of these attacks is to undermine the mutual trust between the administration and the people. Khamenei emphasized that in the face of these strategic goals of the "enemy," it is of vital importance to protect the trust relationships between state institutions and citizens and to strengthen national unity.
