In a statement on his X social media account, Ghalibaf responded to Trump's threat that the US would seize Kharg Island (in the Persian Gulf) and other oil infrastructure points in the "not-too-distant future."
"YOU WILL SEE A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT IRAN"
Arguing that wrong strategies and impulsive decisions would upend all balances in the region, making things worse for the US, and that blowing up energy infrastructure and markets would create an endless quagmire from which the Washington administration could not emerge for years, Ghalibaf stated, "You will see a completely different Iran before you."
US President Donald Trump had stated that his country would seize Kharg Island (in the Persian Gulf) and other oil infrastructure points in the "not-too-distant future."
Following the attacks carried out on Iran last night, Trump had announced that there would be "more comprehensive and severe" attacks tonight.
