Iranian Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf to US Secretary: Scotty, my friend, your reputation is at stake

Iranian Parliament Speaker and Chief Negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, quoting US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's statement targeting Iran, said, "This failed empire could spend billions of dollars on its own people instead of funneling them to its terrorist proxy, Israel. Scotty, my friend, your reputation is at stake. Do something."

Iranian Parliament Speaker and Chief Negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf responded to US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's statement targeting Iran, which read: "While the Iranian people struggle to meet their basic needs, the corrupt regime continues to spend vast amounts of money abroad.

Instead of funneling billions of dollars to its terrorist proxy forces, the regime should spend that money on its own people."

Quoting Bessent's statement on his social media account, Ghalibaf wrote: "This failed empire could spend billions of dollars on its own people instead of funneling them to its terrorist proxy, Israel.

But no, that would be far too logical for this regime.

Scotty, my friend, your reputation is at stake. Do something."
