Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf made statements regarding his country's nuclear activities, missile program, and the ongoing process with the US. Speaking to the Iranian press, Ghalibaf stated that the missile program and military capacity are "absolutely non-negotiable."

In his assessment of Iran's nuclear rights, Ghalibaf stated, "Uranium enrichment is our legitimate and inalienable right." Noting that Tehran is participating in the negotiation process to achieve its goals, Ghalibaf sent a message that Iran would retaliate in the event of a violation of the agreement's provisions.

Issuing a warning to the US, Ghalibaf said, "We are negotiating to achieve our goals. However, in cases where the language of logic and the text of the agreement remain ineffective, the language of power comes into play."

Addressing the sovereignty disputes in the Strait of Hormuz, Ghalibaf argued that the region consists of Iranian territorial waters. Opposing US claims that Iran is militarizing the Strait of Hormuz, Ghalibaf stated that they would not allow "debate or sophistry" to be produced on this matter.

Drawing attention to the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz, Ghalibaf described the strait as one of the most important assets for Iran "during the last war." Referring to the clause in the memorandum of understanding reached with the US regarding Iran's dialogue with Oman for the future administration and maritime services of the Strait of Hormuz, Ghalibaf said that Iran and Oman have already reached an agreement on legal and service-related issues.

LISTED 5 CONDITIONS FOR THE AGREEMENT

Ghalibaf also recalled the preconditions set for the implementation of the memorandum of understanding reached with the US. Accordingly, the end of the war, the restoration of Lebanon's sovereignty, the lifting of the US "illegal naval blockade" against Iran, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, the securing of Iran's oil exports, and the release of its frozen assets were highlighted.

The Iranian Parliament Speaker said, "Until all 5 provisions of the agreement are clearly implemented, Iran will not move to the next stage of implementing the remaining provisions."

Defining the negotiations as a "strategic step," Ghalibaf stated that they do not see diplomacy as separate from military power. "Negotiation is a method of struggle. Military power ultimately supports the legal authority of diplomacy. The battlefield and diplomacy are two blades of the same scissors," said Ghalibaf, adding that regional agreements could only be accepted on the condition that they protect Iran's "dignity and deterrence."

Presenting the lifting of the US blockade earlier than planned as a gain for Iran, Ghalibaf argued that this is an indicator of both his country's war capabilities and the power of its diplomacy. Ghalibaf stated that in less than two weeks after the lifting of the blockade, Iran exported more than 40 million barrels of oil, demonstrating the economic benefit.

Ghalibaf also emphasized that they do not fully trust international guarantees. "Strong internal capacity and a solid position on the ground constitute the only guarantee for our country," said Ghalibaf, reiterating that Iran's military capacity and missile program would not be a subject of negotiation.
