Iranian Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf: US has violated 3 articles of the ceasefire

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf released a new statement regarding the 10-point ceasefire agreement reached between the US and Iran.

In a statement posted on his social media account, Ghalibaf said that the US has already violated 3 of the 10 articles in question.

The statement, which underscored that Iran does not trust the US side, included the following: "Our deep historical distrust of the US stems from their repeated violations of all their commitments in various ways. This has, unfortunately, been repeated once again." the statement read.

The remarks highlighted US President Donald Trump's assessment of the articles in question, stating: "As stated in the US President's remarks, the Islamic Republic of Iran's 10-point proposal is a 'negotiable basis' and the main framework for negotiations. However, 3 articles of this proposal have already been violated." he said.

Ghalibaf listed the articles in question as follows:

"Failure to comply with the first article of the 10-point proposal regarding the ceasefire in Lebanon. The commitment that Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also clearly stated as 'an immediate ceasefire everywhere, including in Lebanon and other regions.'

The presence of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that entered Iranian airspace without authorization and was destroyed in the city of Lar in Iran's Fars province, which clearly violates the article prohibiting any violation of Iranian airspace."

Furthermore, addressing the White House's statement that Iran's uranium enrichment activities are a red line for the US and that this situation is non-negotiable, Ghalibaf said the final violated article is 'the denial of Iran's right to enrichment, which is included in Article 6 of the ceasefire framework.'

Ghalibaf stated, "Now, this principle, which was stated as a 'negotiable basis,' has been clearly and publicly violated before the negotiations even began. In such a situation, a bilateral ceasefire or negotiations are not reasonable."
