During the call, Iranian President Pezeshkian made statements regarding his country's stance on the current conflicts. Pezeshkian said, "Iran did not start the war and does not wish to continue it. However, within the framework of the right to legitimate defense, US bases in the region that were the source of the attack were targeted."
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared his concern over the further escalation of tension in the region during the call. Emphasizing the importance of finding solutions through diplomatic channels to prevent the problems from growing, Modi called on all parties to engage in dialogue.
