While uncertainty continues regarding the negotiation process between the US and Iran, it has been reported that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will lead a diplomatic delegation on an official visit to Oman tomorrow.

According to the official Iranian news agency IRNA, the discussions Araghchi will hold with Omani officials will address bilateral relations as well as regional developments, primarily the latest situation in the Strait of Hormuz.

Indirect talks were held in Qatar

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi met with Pakistani and Qatari officials in Doha, the capital of Qatar, on July 1. Within the scope of these contacts, indirect technical talks were held with the US side, and it was noted that the implementation process of the memorandum of understanding between the parties, the latest developments in Lebanon, and the release of frozen Iranian assets were discussed.

Gharibabadi announced that an agreement had been reached to establish an official communication channel for reporting and recording violations of the memorandum of understanding signed between the US and Iran.

Gharibabadi also stated that he held a meeting with officials from the Central Bank of Qatar and that the use of a portion of Iran's 6 billion dollars in frozen funds was discussed. Gharibabadi said that the parties had agreed on the use of resources from this fund to purchase necessary products in line with Iran's needs.
