Israel intensified its attacks on Iran as darkness fell. Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Spokesperson Brigadier General Effie Defrin said in a press conference, "Approximately 60 fighter jets conducted a wave of airstrikes in central Iran this evening."
Stating that jets belonging to the Israeli Air Force (IAF) destroyed 3 more Iranian F-14 fighter jets as part of the attacks, Defrin said, "Iran's ballistic missile launch capacity has been severely weakened.
The missile launch capabilities they possess today are far from their capacity when we started this operation. The Air Force destroyed approximately 950 Iranian-made unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) before they could be launched at Israel," he said.
"MORE THAN A THOUSAND UAVS LAUNCHED FROM IRAN TO ISRAEL"
Announcing data on the 9th day of the war, IDF Spokesperson Brigadier General Effie Defrin stated, "Over the past week, more than a thousand UAVs have been launched from Iran to Israel. Only a few of these managed to penetrate Israeli airspace. Most of the UAVs were destroyed outside of Israel's borders. This is an unprecedented success. In addition to defensive actions, the air force is systematically eliminating the command chain of Iran's UAV unit. These strikes disrupted coordinated attack plans, and we hit approximately 950 explosive-laden UAVs before they were launched," he said.
