Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that they have approved an agreement allowing for the export of natural gas from the Leviathan Natural Gas Field to Egypt, valued at approximately 35 billion dollars.

Netanyahu stated, "Today we have approved the largest gas deal inI have approved the agreement. The deal is worth 34.67 billion dollars. This agreement, made with the U.S. company Chevron and Israeli partners, will provide gas supply to Egypt," he said.

Netanyahu claimed that the agreementwould help ensure stabilityin the region. The agreement, which wassignedlast August, had been delayed due to certain issues.
