Israel claims it is not besieging Al-Shifa Hospital

Israeli Army Spokesperson Daniel Hagari claimed that Al-Shifa Hospital is not under siege.

In a press conference, Hagari made statements regarding Israel's ongoing attacks on the blockaded Gaza Strip, which have continued for 36 days.

CLAIM THAT THE HOSPITAL IS NOT UNDER SIEGE

Regarding the situation at Al-Shifa Hospital, Hagari claimed that the hospital in question is not under siege. The Israeli Army Spokesperson further alleged that the eastern gate of Al-Shifa Hospital remains open for Gazans inside who wish to leave.

Claiming that they are in direct and regular contact with the staff at Al-Shifa Hospital, Hagari stated, "they would help the babies in the hospital's pediatric ward reach a safer hospital."

DEATH TOLL RISES AT AL-SHIFA HOSPITAL

The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported in a statement today that Al-Shifa Hospital has become non-functional because Israeli forces are targeting everything that moves within it.

Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila also announced that 39 babies in the intensive care unit at Al-Shifa Hospital are in life-threatening danger due to a lack of oxygen, and that 1 baby has already lost their life due to this issue.
