Israel claims responsibility for Haniyeh assassination

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, who for the first time confirmed that Israel carried out the assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh, stated, "We will also strike the terrorist Houthis in Yemen hard. We will leave their leaders headless. Just as we did to Ismail Haniyeh, Yahya Sinwar, and Hassan Nasrallah."

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz challenged the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen, who continue their attacks against his country. According to reports in the Israeli press, Katz, who claimed that they have defeated Hamas and Hezbollah and neutralized defense systems in Iran, said they would also deal a heavy blow to the Houthis.

Just as we did to Ismail Haniyeh, Yahya Sinwar, and Hassan Nasrallah," Katz said, adding, "Anyone who raises a hand against our country will have their hand cut off and will be struck. The Israeli army will settle the score in an unprecedented way." With Katz's latest remarks, Israel has for the first time claimed responsibility for the assassination of Haniyeh, who was killed in an attack on his residence in Tehran after attending the inauguration ceremony of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
