HOW DID THE CONFLICTS BEGIN?
On June 13, Israel carried out large-scale attacks targeting Iran's nuclear facilities and high-ranking military officials. In these attacks, the Iranian Chief of General Staff, the Commander-in-Chief of the Revolutionary Guards, and several nuclear scientists lost their lives.
The Iranian Ministry of Health announced that 430 civilians were killed and more than 3,500 people were injured in these attacks.
The Israeli Prime Minister's Office reported that 24 people were killed and 1,272 people were injured in Iran's retaliations. Many countries, led by Turkey, condemned Israel's attacks. The US also conducted airstrikes on Iran's nuclear facilities on June 22. US President Donald Trump had announced that a ceasefire had been reached between the two countries.
