Israel does not stop: Despite Hamas' acceptance of ceasefire, 'call for attack on Rafah'

Israel's far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir stated in a post on his social media account, "There is only one answer to Hamas' games: An immediate order to attack Rafah!"

Calling for an increase in military attacks on Gaza, Ben-Gvir demanded the "total defeat of Hamas" and insisted that attacks on Gaza should not stop "until Hamas is completely defeated."

Meanwhile, Israel's Army Radio reported, citing security sources, that preparations for a ground attack on Rafah are "proceeding as planned."

HAD ACCEPTED THE CEASEFIRE

Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh had informed Qatar and Egypt that he had approved their proposals regarding a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

In a written statement on its website, Hamas announced that Haniyeh had held phone calls with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Egyptian Intelligence Chief Abbas Kamel, informing them that the Hamas movement had approved the proposals they presented regarding the ceasefire agreement.

The statement did not share information regarding the content of the proposals and suggestions presented.
