Israel has killed 75 journalists in two months

The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate has released a report regarding journalists who have lost their lives, been injured, detained, or lost their homes during Israel's attacks, which have now surpassed the two-month mark.

According to the report, 75 journalists have lost their lives in the attacks, and approximately 80 media personnel have been injured. It was also stated that 2 journalists are missing.

It was noted that Israel has committed hundreds of war crimes and violations during its attacks, which have resulted in the deaths of thousands of civilians and left tens of thousands injured.

MEDIA ORGANIZATIONS ARE TARGETS OF ISRAEL

The report states that the media centers where journalists who lost their families and loved ones worked have also been destroyed in the attacks.

It was reported that the family homes of 60 journalists were bombed in Israeli attacks, and 63 media institutions and offices were destroyed.

Due to the damage sustained in the attacks, operations at 25 local radio stations—one in the occupied West Bank and 24 in the Gaza Strip—have been disrupted.

JOURNALISTS ARE PREVENTED FROM PERFORMING THEIR DUTIES

During this period, the Israeli administration closed 3 media organizations and detained or held 43 journalists, 41 of whom were in the West Bank and 2 in Gaza.

The report emphasizes that the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate is working intensively to ensure the safety of journalists, enable them to practice their profession, provide international protection, and ensure that Israel is held accountable and prosecuted for the deaths of the journalists who lost their lives in the attacks.

The report also stated that the claims by Israeli officials regarding a lack of evidence that journalists were intentionally targeted are part of Israel's lies, and that the realities on the ground refute such defenses.
