As Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip continue, the Israeli military has issued an evacuation order for Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip.
Hospital management announced that Israeli forces have called for the complete evacuation of all patients and the wounded from the hospital within 24 hours.
Hospital management stated that the Israeli military has arrested a healthcare worker and is preventing the evacuation of premature babies, adding, “The occupiers are trying to put the healthcare system out of service to displace the residents of northern Gaza.”
Dr. Hossam Abu Safia, Director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, said in a statement, “The Israeli military reached out to me with a direct, clear threat. They said that all patients at Kamal Adwan Hospital must be evacuated by tomorrow and that the hospital, including the medical staff, must be emptied, otherwise we will put ourselves in danger. This is a clear threat.”
Safia stated, “It is clear that this is a new plan to displace our people in northern Gaza by eliminating the healthcare system in the region. We call on the world to intervene to stop this horrific decision. We will stay and continue to provide medical services regardless of the cost.”
