Israel issues statement on Natanz Nuclear Facility: 'We did not strike'

The Natanz Nuclear Facility in Iran was the target of an airstrike in the morning hours. Following this development, eyes turned to Israel. However, in an official statement issued by the Israeli military, it was stated that Israeli military aircraft did not participate in the attack.

Israel's statement emphasized that "due to the ongoing war conditions," no comments would be made regarding the U.S.'s activities in Iran.

The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, in an announcement made after the incident, alleged that the U.S. and Israel were behind the attack on the Natanz Shahid Ahmadi Roshan Nuclear Facility. Organization officials stated that no radioactive leakage was detected as a result of the investigations and that there is currently no risk to the public in the region.

Sources speaking to Israel's state television KAN, who requested anonymity, claimed that the attacks were carried out using U.S. warplanes and "bunker-buster" bombs.

With the latest attack, security concerns regarding facilities that play a key role in Iran's uranium enrichment program, such as Natanz, have come to the fore once again. While the parties continue to trade accusations amid the tension in the region, there is no clear statement regarding who is responsible for the attack.
