According to reports from the Syrian regime's news agency SANA, Israel struck a vehicle in the Mezze neighborhood with an airstrike at 17:05 local time.

The report stated, "2 civilians were killed and 3 civilians were injured in the attack. Material damage occurred in the area."

Israeli military spokesperson Daniel Hagari confirmed that they had carried out a missile strike on a vehicle in Damascus, announcing that the head of the financial arm responsible for the flow of money from Iran to Hezbollah was targeted in the attack.

Without disclosing the identity of the targeted Hezbollah member, Hagari said that the individual had been in the position for only a few weeks since the killing of his predecessor. Hagari stated that Israel would carry out more attacks on Hezbollah's financial network in the coming days.
The Israeli press, meanwhile, claimed that the other person who lost their life in the attack was responsible for the transfer of weapons from Iran to Hezbollah.
