Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant visited infantry units at the Gaza border and instructed soldiers to be ready for a ground offensive. Gallant had said, "Those who see Gaza from afar now will see it from the inside. I promise you."
According to footage shared by the Israeli army spokesperson, Halevi addressed soldiers of the Israeli army's "Golani Brigade."
"WE WILL ENTER THE GAZA STRIP"
In his speech, Halevi stated, "We will enter the Gaza Strip. We will undertake an operational mission to eliminate elements affiliated with Hamas. We will also keep in mind the images and scenes of those who lost their lives in the attack that took place two weeks ago on Saturday (October 7)."
"THIS SPIRIT WILL BRING VICTORY"
Pointing out that the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas is preparing for Israel's ground offensive, Halevi said:
"The enemy is making many preparations there, but we are also preparing against them. All the capabilities of the Israeli army are accompanying us in the ground offensive. With this mindset, be brave. Be extremely determined and instill a high sense of confidence in your soldiers. This spirit will bring victory."
While Israeli officials have been stating for days that they will begin a ground offensive into Gaza, it is not known when this will take place.
