Israel continues to carry out attacks on the Gaza Strip, violating the ceasefire reached with Hamas in October 2025.
Israeli military warplanes conducted an airstrike on a residential area in the Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City, where civilians displaced by previous Israeli attacks were staying.
Palestinian sources reported that 6 people, including 2 women, lost their lives in the attack, and 15 others, mostly children, were injured.
Medical teams were immediately dispatched to the scene to transport the bodies and the injured to Al-Shifa Hospital. Sources reported that the bombardment caused widespread destruction in the area.
Death toll in Gaza rises to 72,961
This development comes at a time when Israel continues its attacks on the Gaza Strip despite the ceasefire in the region. The latest statement from the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that the number of people who have lost their lives since the ceasefire went into effect on October 10, 2025, has risen to 951, and the number of injured has reached 2,984.
It was noted that the total death toll since Israel began its attacks on October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,961, and the number of injured has reached 173,092.
