It has been announced that the Israeli army has conducted a raid on the city of Tulkarm in the occupied West Bank, accompanied by heavy construction machinery.
According to a report by the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, Israeli forces carried out an air-supported raid on the city of Tulkarm, located in the northern West Bank.
The report emphasized that the Israeli army destroyed infrastructure in Tulkarm with heavy machinery, and shared information that communication and internet lines were cut due to damage to the infrastructure in the Tulkarm Refugee Camp.
The report indicated that Israeli soldiers intervened against Palestinian youths who reacted to the raid by using live ammunition.
It was also reported that a raid was conducted on the Balata Refugee Camp in the city of Nablus in the West Bank, and that clashes broke out between Palestinian youths and Israeli soldiers in the Balata Refugee Camp.
On August 28, Israel announced that it had launched its most intense and comprehensive attacks in the West Bank since 2002, during the Second Intifada, which it named 'Summer Camps', targeting refugee camps in the cities of Jenin, Tulkarm, and Tubas.
According to data from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, since August 28, 39 Palestinians have been killed—including 21 in Jenin, among them children and the elderly, 8 in Tubas, 7 in Tulkarm, and 3 in Hebron—and 145 people have been injured.
The Israeli army withdrew this morning after 10 days of attacks and raids in the West Bank, leaving behind widespread destruction.
Since October 7, 2023, 692 Palestinians have lost their lives in attacks by Israeli soldiers and Israelis who have usurped Palestinian lands in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
