Israeli army admits to violating ceasefire in Gaza
The Israeli army has admitted to violating the ceasefire agreement reached with Hamas by opening fire on Palestinians in certain parts of the Gaza Strip, claiming they were "approaching their forces."

In a written statement, the Israeli army stated that it opened fire in different parts of the Gaza Strip over the last 24 hours, claiming it was to "repel suspects who were approaching army forces and posing a threat."
The statement, which claimed that they would "remain committed to the ceasefire agreement" for the return of Israeli hostages in Gaza, also indicated that they are prepared for any scenario in Gaza.
In the attacks that Israel launched in the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, 47 thousand 498 Palestinians, including 17 thousand 841 children and 12 thousand 298 women, have been killed, and 111 thousand 592 people have been injured.
The ceasefire and hostage exchange agreement reached between Hamas and Israel in Gaza went into effect on Sunday, January 19, at 12:15 PM TRT.
Despite its repeated violations, the Israeli army claims that it is fully complying with the ceasefire agreement.
