Israeli army announces that the bodies of 3 of its soldiers are in Hamas's hands

In a written statement from the Israeli army, it was stated that the bodies of two 19-year-old and one 20-year-old Israeli soldiers who were killed are in the hands of Hamas.

THE DECEASED SOLDIERS HAD ENGAGED IN FIERCE CLASHES

While the statement shared the identification details of the 3 soldiers in question, no information was provided regarding when or where they were killed. On the other hand, reports in the Israeli army radio and the newspapers Haaretz and Yediot Ahranot noted that the 3 soldiers in question were among the Israeli soldiers who were involved in clashes when the armed wing of Hamas infiltrated southern Israel from Gaza on October 7.

There has been no statement from Hamas regarding the matter yet.

LATEST SITUATION IN THE GAZA OCCUPATION

The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, launched a comprehensive attack on the morning of October 7 on the grounds of "responding to Israel's continuous violations against Palestinians and sacred values, especially the Al-Aqsa Mosque," while the Israeli army launched an intense aerial bombardment on the Gaza Strip.

It was announced that 1,200 Israelis, more than 310 of whom were soldiers, were killed and 5,132 people were injured in the attacks on October 7 in Israel. According to the Israeli army, 70 Israeli soldiers have been killed in clashes in Gaza and 6 on the Lebanon border since October 7.

According to the government in Gaza, the number of Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip since October 7 has exceeded 15,000, including more than 6,150 children and more than 4,000 women. In the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, 242 Palestinians have lost their lives in attacks by Israeli forces and Jewish settlers since October 7.

The Israeli army hit the campuses or main buildings of dozens of hospitals where tens of thousands of wounded and civilians had taken refuge in Gaza in order to forcibly evacuate them. During the occupation, it raided some hospitals. Hundreds of people were killed and injured in the attacks.

PRISONER AGREEMENT BETWEEN HAMAS AND ISRAEL

The agreement regarding a 4-day "humanitarian pause" in the clashes between Israel and Hamas went into effect on Friday, November 24, at 07:00 (08:00 Turkish time).

Within the framework of the prisoner exchange agreement under the "humanitarian pause" deal between Israel and Hamas, 51 Israeli prisoners from the Gaza Strip, one male and the others women and children, and 150 Palestinian women and child prisoners from Israeli prisons have been released so far.

Qatar announced that the "humanitarian pause" has been extended for another 2 days as a result of the mediation efforts carried out between Hamas and Israel.
