Israeli army claims to have killed that commander!
The Israeli army announced that Islamic Jihad commander Ayman Zarub was neutralized in a Shin Bet (Shabak) operation.

The Israeli army has claimed that it killed Ayman Zarub, the commander of the Islamic Jihad Movement's Rafah Brigade, in the Rafah region of the Gaza Strip, where it has been continuing its attacks since October 7.
In a written statement issued by the Israeli army, it was stated: "In a joint operation by the Israeli army and the Internal Security Agency Shin Bet (Shabak), the commander of the Islamic Jihad Movement's Rafah Brigade, Ayman Zarub, was neutralized."
The statement, which noted that Zarub took part in the Al-Aqsa Flood operation on October 7, also announced that two other Islamic Jihad members lost their lives in the operation.
The Islamic Jihad Movement has not yet made a statement regarding the matter.
