Israeli attack on Beirut: Evacuation orders issued for some areas

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that at least 9 people were killed in two separate attacks carried out by Israeli forces in the north and south of Beirut. In a statement issued by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), it was reported that residents of 23 villages in southern Lebanon were ordered to evacuate to areas north of the Awali River.

9 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES

In the statement, it was reported that 5 people lost their lives and 14 were injured in an attack on the village of Maaysrah, a Shiite-majority village located in a mountainous region north of Beirut where Christians are the majority. It was also noted that 4 people lost their lives and 14 were injured in an attack on the village of Barja, located in the Chouf region south of the capital.

EVACUATION ORDER ISSUED

In a statement issued by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), it was reported that residents of 23 villages in southern Lebanon were ordered to evacuate to areas north of the Awali River. While the statement indicated that the evacuations were necessary for the safety of the residents of the region, it was alleged that Hezbollah uses these areas to hide weapons and carry out attacks against Israel.
