The Civil Defense Directorate in Gaza reported that more than 150 people were killed and wounded in attacks carried out by the Israeli army on the Jabalia area in northern Gaza.
Meanwhile, it was stated that the Israeli army carried out an attack on the pediatric intensive care unit of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip and placed the hospital under siege.
Munir al-Bursh, Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, noted in a statement to an AA reporter that the Israeli army opened fire on the upper floors of the hospital where the pediatric intensive care unit is located.
Al-Bursh stated that the Israeli army has blockaded the hospital and is subjecting the surrounding houses to intense bombardment.
Noting that more than 160 patients and wounded individuals inside the hospital are facing death due to a lack of fuel and medical supplies, Al-Bursh conveyed that the patients and the wounded are in great fear and panic due to these attacks.
On the other hand, speaking to the Qatar-based Al Jazeera television, Kamal Adwan Hospital Director Hussam Abu Safiya said that the intensive care unit suffered major damage due to the Israeli army's attacks.
Noting that Israel does not allow the evacuation of patients or the entry of medical supplies into the hospital, Abu Safiya stated that 15 patients need surgery, but they cannot do anything because medical facilities are insufficient and most of the surgeons have been detained.
