Nissim Vaturi, a member of the Israeli parliament from Netanyahu's Likud party, claimed that a war similar to the one in Gaza could break out in the coming days in Dahiyeh, the southern region of Lebanon controlled by Hezbollah.

According to reports in the Israeli press, Vaturi used the phrase 'It will be like Gaza, there is no other way' regarding Dahiyeh.

Israel has been conducting intermittent airstrikes on Lebanon since October 7.

Hezbollah occasionally responds to the airstrikes with missile attacks on Israel.

A full-scale hot conflict between the two sides has not yet occurred. The armed forces of the two sides have not faced each other since the 2006 Hezbollah-Israel war.

Hezbollah had sent fighters to Gaza to provide support following the October 7 attacks.
