In a statement released by the IDF, it was reported that Nidal Al-Najar, the commander of Hamas's Air Defense Unit in Gaza, was killed in a joint operation with the ISA.
The statement, which noted that “Al-Najar was one of the planners of the aerial infiltration into Israel on October 7,” added that “throughout the war, Al-Najar was one of the leaders of attacks against Israel and IDF troops operating in the central Gaza Strip, and had used explosive drones and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to target the troops.”
