In a statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), it was stated: "Ali Barakat was a significant source of knowledge for Hezbollah's air force unit, having spent over a decade planning and executing drone (UAV) attacks against Israel. He was also involved in the development of cruise missiles and UAVs for Hezbollah."

In a statement from Hezbollah, it was noted that an attack was carried out against Israeli military bases in the city of Haifa and the Meron regions. It was also reported that the Israeli settlements of Ayelet HaShahar, Sha'al, Hatzor, and Dalton were targeted with rockets and missiles. No official statement has been made by Israel regarding the attacks.
