Israeli Minister Ben-Gvir calls for the arrest of Palestinian President Abbas

Israeli far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has targeted the Palestinian Authority.

In a speech at a meeting of the Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power) party, Ben-Gvir stated that the establishment of a Palestinian state must never be permitted. He further called for the arrest of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and the assassination of senior Palestinian Authority officials should the number of countries recognizing a Palestinian state continue to rise.

Regarding Abbas, Ben-Gvir said, "There is a cell ready for him at Ketziot Prison."
