Israeli Minister threatens Netanyahu: I will leave the government if attacks on Gaza stop
Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has stated that he will withdraw from the coalition government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if the attacks on the blockaded Gaza Strip are halted.

Israel's attacks on Gaza, where approximately 2.3 million Palestinians live, have continued to intensify since they began on October 7.
Due to Israeli attacks, at least 25,295 Palestinians, including at least 10,800 children and 7,250 women, have been killed in Gaza, and 63,000 people have been injured.
According to a report in the Haaretz newspaper, Ben-Gvir made assessments regarding the attacks on Gaza during his party's weekly regular meeting.

Ben-Gvir, who wants the attacks on Gaza to continue, stated, "If a decision is made to stop the war, I will not be a part of this government."
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who, like Ben-Gvir, is known for his far-right and anti-Palestinian views, also called for an increase in attacks on Gaza during his party's weekly meeting.
Smotrich said, "This is the only way we can truly bring the hostages home and continue our existence here as a sovereign and secure Jewish state."
